Worship Ministry – God calls us to gather for the purpose of glorifying Him through praise and worship (Psalms 100). We desire to worship Jesus in spirit and in truth (John 4:24). Worship in spirit means that we worship from the depths of our spirit, through the power of the Holy Spirit. Worship in truth means we are truthful in our heart response to God, and we worship with music that is theologically sound. If you would like to serve on one of our worship ministry teams (musical, technical, visual arts, dance, production), please contact Jeff Renn, Pastor of Worship & Strategic Ministries, at email@example.com.
Prayer – We are totally dependent on God to work at Living Hope (1 Thessalonians 5:17). We want to soak everything in prayer, so as to be in line with God’s will. We desire to have people praying during our services, as well as offer prayer to those who have needs. In the front or sides of the Worship Center there are ministers available at the end of every service. Join us for prayer Tuesdays from 12-1 PM at the church. We have several ways available for personal prayer needs. For an appointment for a personal private prayer session with prayer ministers at the House of Prayer or if someone is home bound and need an in home visit go to firstname.lastname@example.org or you can contact Rachel Simms at 4783613748. You can also submit a request by calling 706-363-3661 and leaving a message. You can fill out a request in the lobby of the worship center or a card in the entrance of the House of prayer. Rachel Simms will receive these request making sure the teams are praying or set up an appointment. If you wish to be on the list of people who receive these requests and pray for them, please send that request to email@example.com. For urgent request you can contact Rachel Simms at 4783613748. We also are partnering with the prayer ministry of the Athens School of Ministry. Ministry Equipping – The Athens School of Ministry & Worship Arts is an interdenominational Christian college that seeks to equip believers for ministry through degree, certificate, and Lifelong Ministry courses. It is our passionate belief that some type of ministry is the call of every believer. Learn to serve, pray, worship, and lead. To find out how YOU can invest in your own personal Christian growth and equipped to serve in God’s kingdom, visit us at www.acmin.org or call 706.769.1472.
Children’s Ministry – Because the family is the foundation of society, we want to help build strong and godly families. Our children’s ministry should always support and supplement what happens at home, and not replace it. We want to help equip the parents (especially the fathers, where one is present) to “train up a child in the way in which he should go” (Proverbs 22:6; Ephesians 6:4).
Community Groups – We believe life-change most often occurs when truth is shared in the context of a relationship (Acts 2:41-47). Small groups are an ideal environment for truth and relationships to come together, in the power of the Holy Spirit, to transform us into the image of Christ. Our vision is to see community groups form throughout the five county region of Living Hope. We hope to see people join a community group near their home, so as to reach out into their community with the grace and truth of Jesus. Check out a Community Group for encouragement and spiritual growth. It is OK to try several groups before deciding which one fits you best.
College Ministry – God has blessed us with a facility just five minutes from the University of Georgia, 10 minutes from Athens Technical College, and 15 minutes from the University of N. Georgia (Oconee campus). We want to help support the local campus ministries, and also provide a church where students can experience an intergenerational congregation, grow in Christ, be trained in leadership, and find a “home away from home.”

Youth Ministry – We want to challenge students to own their faith, grow in love with Jesus, and be effective leaders for the glory of God. Our youth ministry will include fun gatherings to build community, worship times, and small groups led by adults and college students to help them apply God’s Word.

Outreach – We desire to reach out into the community with the love and truth of Jesus Christ. It is our prayer that God will show us a unique way to bless the city of Athens and surrounding area (Acts 1:8).

Missions – We believe and support the mandate to take the gospel to the nations. It is our desire to send out missionaries from Living Hope Church in a manner worthy of God and to have our body become fellow workers for this kingdom work by partnering with our missionaries through care, support, prayer, and short term trips.
Jail Ministry: Every Wednesday from 9-10:30 AM we take a team of people to minister at the Clarke County Jail. If interested contact Jerry Kiser at email@example.com
Sports Ministry – We want to provide recreational opportunities for people in order to use their God-given skills as well as provide quality fellowship for those who enjoy sports.
As a new church, we will add ministries as God raises up people who are gifted and willing to serve. If you have a desire to be involved in any of these ministries, please contact David Holt: firstname.lastname@example.org
